By Katie Stinson

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Police have charged two people with first-degree murder in the death of a Des Moines man.

Des Moines police announced Friday that 46-year-old Spencer Pierce and 26-year-old Deanna Hood face the charges in connection with the death of 35-year-old Steven Harmon. They also face first-degree robbery charges.

Harmon was found fatally shot June 6 in a parking lot where trailers are stored. Police say they believe Harmon was killed while he was being robbed.

Pierce and Hood are being held at the Polk County Jail, where they also face separate narcotics charges. Records do not list attorneys for them.
