CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Opening statements in the first-degree murder trial of Lee Muldoon, 25, of Coggon, will start Wednesday as soon as a jury is seated in Linn County District Court.
Muldoon is accused of killing 2-year-old Skylar Inman July 11, 2008 at a Coggon home he shared with Skylar’s mother, Brianna Volesky, 20, now of Cedar Rapids. Skylar died from blunt force injuires, according to an autopsy.
He also is charged with child endangerment causing death and if convicted faces life in prison without parole
Muldoon claims he’s innocent in Skylar’s death.
