One Person Injured During Shooting in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - One person has been injured following a report of gunfire in southwest Cedar Rapids early Sunday morning, officials said.

Officials responded to the 4800 block of First Avenue SW for a report of shots fired around 2:45 a.m. Officers located one victim that had a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The injuries did not appear to be life threatening, police said.

No arrests have been made. The incident remains under investigation.
