Marion Police Arrest Four People for Prostitution

MARION, Iowa - Marion police arrested four people for prostitution. Officers conducted compliance checks of massage parlors in Marion on Friday, October 19th. During the checks, officers found that prostitution was happening in two parlors.
Employees at Asian Massage and Massage Heaven were caught performing sex acts for money when an informant went into the businesses. After the compliance checks, search warrants were issued at both locations.
The two arrested at Asian Massage were Jennifer Yue Dougherty, 47, and Guanglan Zhou. Dougherty was charged with prostitution and disorderly house. Zhou was only charged with disorderly house, which is a simple misdemeanor.
Hongmei Hu, 42, and Jia Lee, 25, were arrested at Massage Heaven. Hu was charged with prostitution and disorderly house. And Lee was only charged with disorderly house. In Iowa, prostitution is an aggravated misdemeanor.
