Police Arrest Three in Mason City Shooting

MASON CITY, Iowa - Police have arrested a Mason City man they believe shot and killed a man at a gas station parking lot.

Police say Jamaal Leslie, 31, killed Brandon Crawford, 27, of Mason City, late Tuesday evening. Leslie and Crawford were reportedly arguing at the Casey's General Store on North Federal Avenue. Officers found Crawford lying in the store parking lot. Police say he died at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.

According to the Mason City Globe Gazette, Leslie has been charged with first-degree murder.

Police have arrested two other people in connection with the alleged shooting. They are Winsdell Lamb, 24, and Donya Lee, 46, both of Mason City. They have been charged with charged with being accessories after the fact, an aggravated misdemeanor.

All three are being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail. The names of their attorneys are not listed in online court records.
