Iowa City Police Searching for Assault Suspect

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Iowa City Police need help identifying a man connected to an assault on January 24th.

The female victim says she was using the stairs in the Plaza Towers on Linn Street when the suspect grabbed her. Police say she yelled and the suspect ran off. She wasn't hurt.

Police describe the suspect as a male, approximately 6'3" tall and weighing around 185 pounds, wearing a long dark coat and a black hat.

Anyone with information should call Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers at 358-TIPS (8477). You don't have to provide your identity.
