IOWA CITY, Iowa -- An Iowa City man is accused of attempting to sexually abuse a sleeping woman.

Iowa City police officers responded to a Taylor Drive residence at 5:47 a.m. Saturday for a report of a sexual assault. Police spoke with the victim, who said she was sleeping alone in the basement of the residence when she awoke to 43-year-old Robert L. Bryant putting his hand down the back of her pants.
