Dubuque Man Facing Charges After Driving Through Fresh Concrete
JACKSON COUNTY, Iowa - A Dubuque man is facing a felony charge after he drove through a freshly laid concrete roadway.
Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies said Vance Lee O'Hara, 30, intentionally drove a third of a mile through the concrete in the 2600 block of Centerville Road in Northern Jackson County on October 18 at 6:28 p.m. He was driving a Perfection Concrete truck, his employer. Perfection Concrete was not assigned to this job, Horsefield Construction was. He caused $200,000 to $250,000 damage.
O'Hara is charged with First Degree Criminal Mischief (Class C Felony), Criminal Trespassing and Driving Under Suspension. Criminal Mischief is punishable up to 10 years in prison and a find of at least $1,000.
