BURLINGTON, Iowa (AP) - The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says an agent opened fire at a man who stole a vehicle at a Burlington casino and struck a patrol car as he sped away.

The DCI says its bureau at Catfish Bend Casino received a report Wednesday night of a man breaking into vehicles in the parking garage.

The DCI says an agent tried to stop the man, who by then had stolen a casino employee's vehicle. Instead, the suspect sped toward the agent, who got out of the way and fired three shots from his service weapon. The stolen vehicle struck the agent's patrol car and sped off.

Police say the stolen vehicle was found later, but the suspect has still not been located. DCI says no injuries have been reported.
