Coralville Police Search for Man Possibly Involved in Shooting

CORALVILLE, Iowa -- The Coralville Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a person that may be connected to a gunshot wound victim.
Officials responded to the report of a gunshot in the 700 block of Fifth Avenue around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 2. A short time later, a person with a non-life threatening injury arrived at the University of Iowa Emergency Trauma Center. Officials believe a domestic situation resulted in a physical fight that escalated into the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
The Coralville Police Department is seeking the public's assistance to locate the possible suspect, who allegedly goes by the street name, "Wooda" or "Woodee."
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers at (319) 358-8477. If information leads to the identification of this suspect, he or she may be eligible for a reward of up to $1000. All calls are anonymous.
