CORALVILLE, Iowa -- Two Coralville men are accused of kicking down the door of an Iowa City apartment to settle a $20 debt.

Iowa City police officers were called to a South Johnson Street apartment building at 9:30 p.m. Thursday night for a report of two subjects trying to break in to an apartment. Responding officers discovered the door kicked in and "loud, agitated voices" coming from inside the apartment. Police found 40-year-old Andrew B. Hair and 21-year-old Brook T. Tewabe inside the residence.

Police learned the men, who live together in Coralville, went to the apartment to collect $20 the woman who lived there allegedly owed Tewabe. When the women wouldn't open the door, the two men kicked it in.

The two men allegedly told the woman if she didn't give them the money, they were going to take her stereo.

Both men were arrested and face one count each of second-degree burglary, a class C felony.
