Brighton Teen Facing Felony Charges

BRIGHTON, Iowa - A 13-year-old Washington County boy is facing charges today in connection with a shed fire over the weekend.

Authorities said he made two homemade bombs and used one of them to intimidate a witness.

Aaron L. Williams of Brighton is charged with second degree arson and witness tampering. according to the Washington County sheriff. Both are class C felonies.

The sheriff said Williams is accused of using a "homemade bomb" to start a shed fire in the 300 block of North Jefferson Street in Brighton on Sunday. The sheriff said Williams put another device at the home of the person who made the complaint against him.
