DELAWARE COUNTY, Iowa - Officials recovered the second vehicle Tuesday evening involved with a string of stolen vehicles in northeastern Iowa.
Around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, authorities recovered the vehicle described as a dark gray 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer with Iowa license plate 206 XXC in southern Delaware County. Officials believe the SUV was taken around 7 a.m. Tuesday from a residence in the 800 block of Third Ave. SE in Cascade.
Officials are still searching for Dustin Wilson, 34, who authorities said is known for having a violent nature.
A Cascade police officer first identified Wilson around 6 p.m. Monday in a vehicle reported stolen in Delaware County. Authorities said Wilson pulled into a driveway of a house in the 200 block of Harrison St. SE in Cascade, and then fled on foot. Cascade Police Chief Fred Heim said about 20 to 25 officers from six or seven departments were searching for Wilson Monday evening.
A 28-year-old woman, a passenger in the stolen pickup, was taken into custody Monday but later transported to an Anamosa hospital for unknown reasons.
Wilson is described as a white man, around six feet tall and 160 to 170 pounds, with brown hair and possibly blue eyes. Anyone that sees Wilson, or has more information, is asked not to approach him and to contact local law enforcement.
