DAVENPORT, Iowa - Davenport Police arrested a man after finding a woman shot to death in Davenport. Police believe 22-year-old AJ Albert Coats shot 25-year-old Amanda Abbott. Davenport Detectives arrested him in a trailer in Milan, IL today. Coats faces several charges including second degree murder.

Friends and family of the victim say Abbott had served in the Navy and was just *trying to make a new life for herself* and her 5-year-old daughter. Mourners gathered at the scene of the shooting Saturday in Davenport.

Coats is in the Rock Island County jail tonight awaiting transfer to Scott County.
