$5,000 Reward Offered in Roundtree Shooting Case

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - A citizen reached out to the Linn County Crime Stoppers to offer an additional reward for the arrest of the person(s) responsible for the shooting death of a local 19-year-old.
The $5,000 reward offered by a citizen would be in addition to the Linn County Crime Stoppers reward.
Former Cedar Rapids Washington High School student and basketball player Latasha Roundtree, was fatally shot around 10 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of 16th Avenue SW. The 19-year-old was treated at Mercy Medical Center before being taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics where she died around 3 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators are currently treating her death as a homicide, but no arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning.
