CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Some customers of H & R Block who have already been waiting for their tax refunds for several weeks will have to wait a little longer.

The delay only impacts customers who used Form 8863 for education credits and filed before February 22nd. The Internal Revenue Service notified the H & R Block customers affected, saying their refunds may take an extra six or eight weeks.

Some customers are upset with the delay after paying for professional help with their returns. Scott Brodt says he needs the money from his refund. "I'm counting on that money like thousands of other customers and as far as I'm concerned I should be entitled to a full refund," he said.

The branch in Cedar Rapids refused to talk on camera about the delays, but says it is working with the IRS to fix the delays.
