CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - China Eastern Airlines has ordered Rockwell Collins avionics for 50 new Airbus A320 aircraft.
The order includes at least nine separate Rockwell Collins systems, including WXR-2100 MultiScan Threat Detection System, GLU-925 Multi-Mode Receiver and ADF-900 Automatic Direction Finder.
The equipment will enable the A320s to fly more precise routes while avoiding inclement weather, according to T.C. Chan, Rockwell Collins vice president and managing director, Asia Pacific. He said that’s becoming more important as China’s aviation infrastructure evolves and airline traffic increases in the region.”
