DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) — A Wisconsin-based printing company is cutting more jobs at its plant in Dubuque.
Quad/Graphics of Sussex, Wis., will trim the workforce by 50 to 60 jobs by the end of year. The company cut 24 jobs at the Dubuque plant in May, saying it was looking for ways to maximize its efficiency.
Company spokeswoman Claire Ho says after final cuts are made, the plant will have about 200 employees. She says the company began notifying some employees on Wednesday and plans to give affected workers at least 30 days notice that their jobs are being eliminated.
Ho says the company will offer displaced workers positions at other plants around the country and severance packages.
