CEDAR RAPIDS - Rockwell-Collins says sales are down slightly in the start of 2010.

First quarter sales saw a 3-percent drop from the same time last year.

The company's president and CEO says the global recession and delays in passing the 2010 Defense Appropriations Bill impacted sales.

He says effective cost containment minimized the impact to operating margins.
