CORALVILLE - The Iowa City and Coralville Police Departments are teaming up for a new program they call "Crime Free Business."

The goal is to help businesses prevent crimes in the workplace. The police departments will help any company in the area by giving them suggestions on how to improve safety and security.

"We're looking at low cost measures that can be done. Something as simple as establishing a cash handling policy and sticking with it," Coralvillle Police Officer Meleah Droll said.

Businesses in Iowa City or Coralville interested in the no-cost Crime Free Business program should contact their local police departments to set up initial consultations.
