Theisen's to Open Store in Old EconoFoods Building
CEDAR RAPIDS - We now know who bought the old EconoFoods store in Cedar Rapids that the county had been looking at as a possible site for its offices.
The retailer Theisen's says it should be open for business there in about a year. They sell items for the home, farm or car and are adding three new locations which will mean 200 new jobs for Iowans. The site at Econo-foods on 51st Street NE is only one of two they're adding in eastern Iowa. The Dubuque based company also plans to build a new location in Coralville. Also scheduled to open in the fall of 2010, the store is slated for construction along Highway Six near Interstate 80. The third store will be in Indianola. More Good Stuff |
