CEDAR RAPIDS - Friday is supposed to be payday at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Cedar Rapids. But once again employees are left wondering if they'll ever see the cash.

It was another frustrating payday for employees of the Crowne Plaza. About 150 employees were handed paychecks on Friday. Many of them took the paychecks to get cash, but were told they could not cash them.

Employees tell TV9 that they called police to try to help them get their pay. The police say they can oversee the discussions, but will not get involved because it is a civil matter.

Employees are very frustrated, but fear going on camera to talk about that frustration because they were told they might get cash on Saturday in place of the checks.
