EPWORTH, Iowa -- Students at Western Dubuque High School have mixed emotions after learning the results of a recent nationwide contest.

The school won $100,000 through State Farm Insurance's "Celebrate My Drive" Contest.

Last month the school was neck and neck for first place with a much larger high school in Danbury, Connecticut.

Thousands of high schools competed to get the highest number of drivers to sign State Farm's "safe drivers" pledge. The top school won a private concert from recording artist Kelly Clarkson.

Western Dubuque did not win that top spot, but finished in the top five. That means they still won $100,000. Administrators say they'll use the money to furnish the school's new auditorium.
