DELAWARE COUNTY, Iowa- Authorities have reopened Highway 13 to traffic near the Delaware County town of Ryan. A natural gas leak had closed the road and forced dozens of residents to leave their homes.

It happened in the 2500 block of Highway 13 about 3 miles south of Manchester.

Emergency management officials said an anhydrous ammonia toolbar broke off a home tap, which is a small pipe taken off the high pressure line to serve a home. Northern Natural Gas crews are repairing the line, officials said.

Authorities allowed most residents to return to their homes around 3:00 p.m. Saturday.

There are no reports of injuries.
