One Car Accident in Marion Injures Five

MARION, Iowa- A car accident in Marion Friday night left five people hospitalized.

The crash involved 24-year-old Austin Keilholtz of Cape Coral Florida who was going north on Hindman Road near County Home Road when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway and went into the east ditch where it hit a power line Pole. Keilholtz was taken to Mercy Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

All four of his passengers were hospitalized. Twenty five year old Troy Cowan, of Van Buren Arkansas, was taken to University of Iowa Hospital by Lifeguard aAir Ambulance with life threatening injuries.

The other three passengers, 24-year-old Corey Merrit of Cape Coral Florida, 22-year-old Harden Kemper of Damascus Arkansas, and 22 year old Ashley Block of Marion were all taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The Linn County Sheriff's office is still investigating the crash.
