4 Arrested in Cedar Rapids

Cedar Rapids police are investigating an assault that ended in four arrests.

It happened just before 1:30 p.m. at the Raintree Apartments on 16th Avenue Southwest.

Police say several people were involved.

And that there were threats of a weapon as well as a bat.

Officers located the bat, but did not find a weapon.

"When officers got here officers determined at least one person had been assaulted possibly more. They sorted the incident out and they made some arrests for disorderly conduct at this point," says Captain Steve O'Konek of the Cedar Rapids Police Department.
Police arrested three people and charged them with disorderly conduct.
Dominique Dwight Williams, 19
Chanae Nelson, 33
Jeremiah Ellis,14

Sharod Nelson, 16 is charged with assault causing bodily injury.

Neighbors tell police there has been an ongoing argument among some of the residents.
