Wells Fargo to Lay Off 263 Des Moines Area Workers

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Wells Fargo officials said Tuesday that the company is cutting 263 positions at its credit card call center in West Des Moines.

The company said the changes are part of a larger move to consolidate its call centers.

Employees at the 7000 Vista Drive office were notified of the cuts on Tuesday and given a 60-day notice.

The company said it will provide assistance for the employees to find other positions.
