DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Des Moines' Pappajohn Sculpture Park may soon have another spot for wedding and prom photos.

The Des Moines City Council is expected to vote Monday night to clear the way for a walk-through kaleidoscope by artist Olafur Eliasson.

Construction for the foundation would begin in mid-October, with installation in early November.

John Pappajohn told The Des Moines Register there's nothing else like it in the park. Pappajohn says he and his wife, Mary, wanted something people could walk through, "that allows them to participate, that allows them to experience something in another dimension."

The artist adapts light, darkness, ice and fog into his works.

The downtown park opened in 2009 with two dozen sculptures donated by the Pappajohns.
