One Person Killed in Waterloo Double Shooting

WATERLOO, Iowa - Waterloo Police said one person has been killed following a double shooting at a busy intersection on the east side of Waterloo.
According to police, the shooting happened just after 6 p.m. at the intersection of Nevada Street and Franklin Street, near a Kum and Go Convenience Store.
According to witnesses, two men were on bicycles when a person opened fire on them.
Police said one of the victims, 30-year-old Cederick Matlock of Waterloo was taken to Allen Hospital where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday morning. The other victim, 19-year-old William Burt, is being treated at Covenant Medical Center for his injuries. Burt was shot once in the shoulder, his wound does not appear to be life threatening.
Police continue to process the crime scene and a number of markers and shell casings are visible in the parking lot of the Save More store, located across the street from the Kum & Go.
At this point authorities are not saying if they have any suspects.
