IOWA CITY, Iowa - Two adults could face criminal charges after a dispute over money following an “erotic massage” on Wednesday, officials said.
Police responded around 4:23 p.m. to 27-year-old Hamed Mohamd’s apartment at 520 Ernest St. for an argument over money referencing a “sexual transaction.” Upon further investigation, police discovered Alysia Talbert, 23, went to Mohamd’s apartment to perform an “erotic massage” for $200. Mohamd indicated to Talbert that he wanted to have sexual intercourse, and she agreed, according to police.
According to officials, Talbert asked for the money afterwards, and the two began to struggle. When she attempted to leave, authorities said Mohamd locked the door and refused to let Talbert leave. He then placed his hands around her neck, pressed her against the bed and struck her on her right temple, police said. She had abrasions to her temple, and red marks on both sides of her neck, authorities said.
Talbert admitted to officials she had been prostituting for about five years and had specifically created a Web site for Iowa that highlighted the services she offered while in the area, police said. Mohamd also showed officers the website on his computer and said he had contacted her using the phone number on the site.
According to police, Talbert had $200 on her, as well as several text messages that indicated she has been involved in prostitution throughout Iowa.
Mohamd could face assault causing bodily injury and prostitution charges, police said. Talbert could face prostitution charges.
