Two Adults, Three Children Injured in Muscatine House Fire
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Firefighters in Muscatine responded to a call for a home on fire at 112 Roscoe Avenue at 12:30 a.m. Monday.
Officials say they arrived to find a home on fire. Five people were inside. Firefighters tell TV-9 that a family of two adults and three children were injured.
Following the fire, all five were transported to the local hospital. Fire officials say two had moderate to serious injuries, while three had minor to moderate injuries. They say the injuries ranged from burns to smoke inhalation.
At least one of the adults suffered serious injuries and was taken by AirCare to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The other four were transported to the UIHC by ambulance.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
