Police: Waverly Woman Posted Video of Brother on Fire
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) — An Iowa woman has been accused of recording her teenage brother lighting himself on fire and posting the video on Facebook.
Cedar Falls Police arrested 21-year-old Amanda Jo Erks, of Waverly, on Monday after she posted a video of her 15-year-old brother spraying himself with cologne before lighting himself on fire.
Court records say Erks is heard in the video calling the pair professionals and warning viewers not to try the stunt. Erks' 1-year-old daughter is seen in a crib about five feet away from her uncle.
Police say there is no report of injuries from the incident, which they learned about earlier this month.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier (http://bit.ly/103yEXa ) reports Erks faces an aggravated misdemeanor charge of child endangerment. Court records do not list an attorney for her.
