Police Search for Dubuque Robbery Suspect

DUBUQUE, Iowa - Dubuque police are looking for a man who held up a gas station there Tuesday night.

According to Lt. Scott Baxter, the suspect – described as a white man in his 40s or 50s, 5’11”, 160 pounds and with long brown hair – came into McCann’s Service Center, 690 W. Locust St., around 9:15 p.m. and displayed a knife. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

“At this point, he hasn’t been located,” Baxter said.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

Baxter said police believe the man acted alone.

“(Investigators will) be pulling camera footage from around the area, but they don’t believe there were any accomplices at this point,” he said.
