IOWA CITY, Iowa - Police said a man kicked out of a bar Tuesday morning responded by breaking out the windows of some cars.

According to the Cedar Rapids Police Department, 34-year-old Stephen A. Allen, of Cedar Rapids, had been inside the Double Inn bar around 1 a.m. Tuesday. Police said Allen was asked to leave.

Allen left, but not before going into the parking lot and breaking car windows. He then left on F Avenue NW.

Police said eight vehicles had their windows broken out, but the owners for three of the vehicles could not be located. Allen was found at Rumors Bar and Grill and was arrested for public intoxication. Police said Allen had cuts on his hands and arms and glass on his arms.

In addition to public intoxication, police charged Allen with three counts of fifth-degree criminal mischief and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief. Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said Allen will face additional charges once the owners of the three other vehicles are contacted by officers.
