Officials Investigate Unattended Death At Cedar Rapids Cemetery

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Cedar Rapids police are investigating an unattended death after a person was found dead at a cemetery.
A release from the Cedar Rapids police department said officers were called to Oak Hill Cemetery on Mount Vernon Road SE after a snow plow operator notified them just before 9 a.m. Thursday that there was a dead person in a gazebo in the cemetery.
The release said the department is investigating the incident, and they do not believe there is any immediate threat to the public.
