GLADBROOK, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a woman killed following a house explosion in central Iowa.

The Iowa State Fire Marshal Division says the body of 72-year-old Mary Louise Appelgate was recovered Thursday from the rural Gladbrook property. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A repairman working on the home's heating and cooling system was also injured in the blast. He has been identified as 29-year-old Daniel David Dewitt, also of Gladbrook. He is being treated at the burn unit of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Thursday explosion, which created a fire and completely destroyed the single-story house.

Appelgate lived at the home with her husband. He was not home at the time of the explosion.
