New Iowa Democratic Party Interim Chair

By Katie Stinson

DES MOINES, Iowa – During a special meeting of the Iowa Democratic Party State Central Committee this morning, Scott Brennan was named interim chair of the Iowa Democratic Party.

Brennan previously served as chair of the IDP from 2006-2008, and currently serves as one of Iowa’s representatives on the Democratic National Committee.

Brennan takes over for outgoing chair Tyler Olson who announced earlier this week that he will be stepping down to explore other options for elected office in 2014.
