New Charges Filed Against Man Accused of Abusing Teen
OTTUMWA, Iowa -- A Bloomfield man arrested last week for allegedly sexual abusing a 17-year-old boy, has been arrested again, this time for stalking the alleged victim.
Kenneth Wayne Turner, 55, was arrested on Monday.
According to the Complaint and Affidavit filed in a Wapello County Court, Turner was arrested after he repeatedly drove by the Agency Youth Shelter.
The shelter has been the home of a 17-year-old minor, who accused Turner of repeatedly sexually abusing him while he was a guest in Turner's home in late September.
The minor has a protective order, designed to keep Turner away from him.
Court records say that Turner drove past the shelter at least four times between Sunday, September 29 and October 3, without any legitimate reason to do so. The complaint goes on to say that Turner's conduct induced fear in the boy and that he should have known his conduct would do just that.
Turner was in a Wapello County Magistrate Court on Tuesday morning, where he pleaded not guilty. He was ordered held until he posted a $5,000 cash only bond. His preliminary hearing was set for Oct. 14 at 10 a.m.
As of early Tuesday afternoon, it was not clear if Turner has posted that bond.
Turner was arrested on September 28, in Bloomfield. Police says that Turner sexually and physically abused the victim over a period of nearly a week, at one point allegedly drugging him.
