Names Released in Wrong-Way Fatal Crash

BREMER COUNTY, Iowa -- A pick-up driving the wrong way caused a crash that killed one person on Highway 218 near Janesville, investigators said.

The Bremer County Sheriff's Office said Verle Wygle, 58, of Waterloo, was driving a red pickup north in the southbound lanes of Highway 218 near where it intersects with 260th St. at 4:21 p.m. Wednesday.

Wygle hit another vehicle head on a mile north of Janesville, killing Tracy Willis, 51 of Faribault, Minn. Wygle was taken to the hospital. His condition is unavailable.

Three other vehicles had minor damage from the crash.

The Bremer County Sheriff's Office says charges are pending.
