Man Charged With Stealing Bank Deposits From Burlington Employer
BURLINGTON, Iowa (AP) — A 26-year-old man has been accused of stealing bank deposits from his Burlington employer.
The Hawk Eye says Tyson Summers, of Burlington, was charged Tuesday with theft. Des Moines County Jail records say Summers has bonded out of custody. A phone listed for Summers was not in service Wednesday. Online court records don't include the name of his attorney.
Court records say the manager of a Little Caesars Pizza contacted police on Nov. 1 and reported that bank deposits had been stolen between Oct. 17 and Oct. 28. The manager said Summers was supposed to have made the 10 deposits, which totaled nearly $8,800. The bank said no money had been deposited by the Little Caesars between those dates.
Summers was arrested on Monday.
