WASHINGTON, D.C. - Iowa's Second District Representative, Dave Loebsack, says he's looking forward to working across the aisle on several goals set in motion in Tuesday's State of the Union Address.

One of the new proposals mentioned by President Obama was a willingness to bypass Congress should members of the House and Senate fail to pass his proposals.

On the KCRG-TV9 Morning News, Representative Loebsack said "I don't want any President to overstep his or her bounds." However, he said it was "perfectly fine" for President Obama to order all workers hired through government contracts earn at least $10.10 per hour.
