CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Officials announced today that Lady Antebellum will be performing at the U.S. Cellular Center on June 1 at the center's grand reopening.

Lady Antebellum will launch the re-opening of the U.S. Cellular Center arena which has been extensively updated and remodeled since its’ closing in 2011.

“I am excited that we will host artists of this caliber when the new U.S. Cellular Center arena opens in June,” said Mayor Ron Corbett. “This is just the beginning of the success we will experience with our brand new convention center.”

Along with the arena itself, the Cedar Rapids Convention Complex includes a new exhibit hall, ballrooms, meeting rooms and pre-function space, plus a state of the art Double Tree by Hilton Hotel. The Complex is projected to attract more than 375,000 visitors annually, resulting in $22.8 million of direct spending per year. The total economic impact of the new convention center is estimated to be more than $34 million per year.

"We are thrilled to have Lady Antebellum reopen the U. S. Cellular Center arena. They are the first of many superstars to once again bring great entertainment to the people of the Cedar Rapids area." said Gene Felling, Executive Director of the U. S. Cellular Center arena.
