Johnson County Crash Sends At Least One Person To Hospital

JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa - At least one person was taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 218 in Johnson County Wednesday night. Authorities were called to the crash around 8 p.m. in the southbound lanes just south of Interstate 80. Fire crews from multiple agencies as well as the Iowa State patrol were on scene for about an hour.

At times the crash backed up traffic, but the highway remained open.

Two vehicles, which both ended up in opposite ditches, sustained significant damage.
