Iowa City Police Arrest One, Looking For Second Suspect in Robbery

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Iowa City police responded to a robbery in the 200 block of North Linn St. around 4:00pm Wednesday. Officers say two men entered with a handgun and demanded money. After a fight, they left with property and an undisclosed amount of money.

In a release sent out just after midnight on Thursday, police said they arrested Nicholas Garner of North Liberty. Garner is charged with 1st degree burglary and 1st degree robbery, both class B felonies, among other charges.

Officers are still searching for the second suspect and say additional charges are possible.
