CORALVILLE, Iowa - Children and families can take a journey through the human body Friday night at Iowa Children's Museum. The museum is partnering with University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and hosting a STEM family free night.

STEM, or Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math events across the state are encouraging Iowans to become more interested in these four fields. They especially influence possible career paths for students.

During the event at the museum children and families can participate in hands-on activities such as body mapping, nutrition station, casting, and X-Rays. Kids will learn critical thinking and problem solving skills and while having fun.

The Iowa Children's Museum host STEM family free night on the last Friday of each month, always with a different theme.
