Investigators Return to Scene of Roundtree Shooting

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Investigators return to the scene of the homicide of local 19-year-old Latasha Roundtree Thursday.
Officials on scene were searching the area of 649 16th Avenue SW with a metal detector, but could not release any details regarding their investigation.
The fatal shooting of former Cedar Rapids Washington High School student and basketball player occurred in the 600 block of 16th Avenue SW around 10 p.m. Saturday. She was treated at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids before being taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City where she died around 3 a.m. Sunday.
Linn County Crimestoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the shooting death of Roundtree.A citizen has offered an additional $5,000 for information.
