Gunman Robs Tobacco Store in Cedar Rapids
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - A masked man pointed a gun at a clerk during a robbery at a Cedar Rapids smoke shop early Friday morning, police said.
Officers were dispatched around 4 a.m. to Puff N' Stuff 2, 1545 First Ave. SE. According to a police report, the lone suspect pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk, who was the only one inside the store at the time, was not injured. Lt. Charlie Fields said the suspect got an undisclosed amount of cash and some store merchandise. He left the store on foot. No arrests have been made, he said. The suspect was described as a black man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a gray mask and black pants.
