Fire Crews Investigate Iowa City House Fire

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Fire crews are investigating what led to a house fire on Iowa City's southeast side. Firefighters found smoke coming out the front door of the house located at 2332 Lakeside Drive -- close to U.S. Highway 6. Crews were at the house for about 2 hours. Investigators say the 6 people living there escaped safely. The fire department didn't have a damage estimate available. The Red Cross is helping the family impacted by this fire.
