Deadly Krokodil Drug Spreads to Midwest
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - A drug made from gasoline among other drugs has already made its way to the Midwest.
Krokodil is a dangerous drug that eats human flesh. It's injected like heroin and is three times more powerful, at a fraction of the cost. It surfaced in Russia decades ago, and now doctors said they have started treating users in the Chicago area.
The Gazette's Lee Hermiston sat down with KCRG-TV9's Bruce Aune to provide a little more information on this drug. And those interested can read about krokodil in the Saturday morning edition of the Gazette.
