Crash Near North Liberty Backs Up Traffic

NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa - Two men are injured after a crash near North Liberty Tuesday morning.

It happened about 9 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 380 near mile marker five when a Veit truck driven by Dominic Stephas, 27, of Chatfield, Minn., rear-ended 52-year-old Wayne Zimmerman's semi. Zimmerman was slowing near a construction area before the crash happened. The trailer of the semi smashed through the hood of the truck.

Both were taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Their conditions are not available.
